Hello lovely people,
I am currently writing this here blog post from the comfort of the couch in our lounge room at home. As some of you may or may not know, I had surgery on my left foot last Friday. This was to remove a lump or three from a spot which had previously been exhumed in August 2022. It's quite bizarre that these new growths formed just under the scar tissue of that tumor removal. Thankfully they have all been non-cancerous, but the bumps would have kept growing, so they needed to come out! Unfortunately, I am now out of action for a couple of weeks. I have been ordered by my surgeon to keep off my left foot until his follow-up appointment next month. As such, I won't be performing solo, or with the Wesleys, until mid-March at the earliest. I can't wait to be strumming the things and singing the sings again in the very near future! I am very fortunate to have an amazing care team looking after me while I convalesce. My wonderful wife and family are making sure that I keep off the newly stitched-up foot. What we anticipated to be a day surgery visit turned into a three-day hospital stay, and the time needed to heal properly has also been extended. It's a bugger to now be pretty much bedridden or couch-bound for the next fortnight or so, but I'm very lucky to have such amazing love and support. I remain ever grateful for my family and I look forward to getting through the coming weeks together with them. Take care out there, and I'll see you at a gig before you know it.
